Choosing treatment is a big decision that takes courage. We are here to support you along your journey.

Adult Therapy Overview

Brain-Based Treatment NW provides a week-long TBT-S Treatment program for adults with anorexia. The treatment includes 45 hours of direct care and three optional support meetings before starting. After completing the treatment, clients and Supports receive a 3-month follow-up meeting to address questions or concerns that have come up since the treatment week. TBT-S uses a modular structure that targets symptoms using various intervention strategies, including psychoeducation, experiential learning, skills training, meal coaching, and behavioral agreements. The program emphasizes the importance of interdependence and presents neurobiological information relevant to the temperament of individuals. The Trait-Based Treatment for Anorexia Nervosa in Adults (TBT-S) approach involves the adult client working with their support system to empower their traits as solutions for stepping away from destructive tendencies and using tools to shift the same traits toward productive expressions.
